     Hello everyone! Welcome to November, and up here in Connecticut, it's quite a chilly one at that! I wanted to take some time to get into detail about one of our products that constantly has us giddy with excitement! Not only is it extremely effective and useful in many different ways, its also downright cool!

     I'm speaking of course, about The Samson Ultrasonic Washer – Model number GBW300. The Samson Washer has a place in absolutely every kitchen and fits easily in most Kitchen sinks or on your counter. Most commonly, the Samson Ultrasonic Washer is used to clean fruits and vegetables before cooking or juicing them, and boy is it far more effective than cleaning by hand!

     The Samson Ultrasonic Washer operates using Ultrasonic Wave Technology, and we're extremely proud to say that our product is the first to incorporate this technology into a healthy kitchen appliance. Ultrasonic Wave Technology has been used in the medical, dental and automotive field for many years, originally to rid tough contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, buffing/polishing compounds, and mold release agents, just to name a few. It's quite remarkable that such a strong cleaning technology can clean items made of metal, glass, and ceramics with a gentle finesse, yet even getting down to the nitty gritty and cleaning hard to reach areas and tiny crevices.

     The Samson Ultrasonic Washer utilizes the revolutionary 3D SOUL™ system – which means Decontaminate, Disinfect, and Deodorize. This translates to the 3 steps that the Samson Ultrasonic Washer takes to clean your fruits, vegetables and other wares by: Silver, Ozone and Ultrasonic. The Samson Ultrasonic Washer is equipped with a nanosilver coating to destroy germs. Any germs that come into contact with silver are greeted by a fatal dose of positively charged ions, which in turn, dismantle the germ's cell walls and prevent cell division, thereby eliminating the germ's ability to reproduce. This is why silver is so often used in medical items such as bandages that are commonly in contact with an area that must be kept sterile. As water circulates in the Samson Ultrasonic Washer, germs are eliminated from the surface of the objects being cleaned, and any rogue germs freely present in the water come in contact with the nanosilver coating and are eliminated.

     Ozone, which is also commonly known as activated oxygen or O3, works to kills microbes and neutralizes chemical pollutants through oxidation. Oxidation is the chemical process of oxygen binding to other molecules, which in turn alters the chemical properties of the molecule, rendering them inert. In microbes, this results in the destruction of cell walls and disruption of cell proliferation. O3 is FDA-approved for use as an antimicrobial agent for the treatment, storage, and processing of meat and poultry.      The Samson Ultrasonic Washer generates mid-range ultrasonic waves in the range of 30-50 Khz, working to provide a powerful, yet gentle, and fine cleaning. When ultrasonic waves operate in liquids, it creates a phenomenon known as Cavitation. The Samson Ultrasonic Washer utilizes this on a smaller scale known as Noninertial Cavitation, which is the rapid formation and violent imploding collapse of micron-sized (about 1/1,000,000m) bubbles in a liquid medium, which in the case of our Samson Ultrasonic Washer, is water. These tiny implosions release extraordinary amounts of energy with temperatures of up to 10,000° C, and up to 10,000 PSI of pressure, providing phenomenal cleaning power, as well as killing germs. Because the Noninertial Cavitation is happening on such a microscopic scale, it prevents damage to the underlying material being cleaned, similar to how flying sparks produced by cutting or scraping metal don’t burn the skin. This micron scale of Cavitation also allows it to clean effectively in narrow crevices, such as the layers of leafy vegetables or intricate designs on silverware and plates.

Are there any studies supporting that the washer does what it says it will do? Are you in the process of having any studies done? And where did the 98% figures come from? That must have been based on some testing labs work? Thanks, this sounds fascinating and useful. BR

How can the consumer be sure the GBW300 Samson Ultrasonic Washer is working properly? What tests can the consumer perform to judge the effectiveness of the machine's Ozone generating capacity and the ultrasonic cleaning power? We need a way to determine whether the Ozone is still effective today and three years from now. My personal observations: The ultrasonic washer will shake loose grit from Kale, but may not remove mud that has dried on the plant. Caked on external dirt still requires a good manual cleaning. Normally, I manually wash and peel my carrots before juicing. As a test, I compared the taste of organic carrots cleaned using the following three methods: a) manually washed carrots; b) manually washed and peeled carrots; c) carrots washed in the GBW300. The manually washed carrots had a bitter after taste. The manually washed and peeled were very sweet and tasty. The carrots washed in the GBW300 did not have the bitter after taste. I prefer the carrots washed with the GBW300, because the skin is still intact with more nutrients being available for consumption and no bitter after taste.
